About the new NCPlotter
The NCPlotter is a new automated marking system for ductwork
insulation. It uses the same principles as our NCPlasma cutters
to increase productivity for lagging air-conditioning ductwork.
How it works
The NCPlotter is an easel-style machine that utilises ductwork
software to generate insulation patterns to match sheetmetal
fittings such as square-to-rounds, transitions or lobster-back
bends.
The Plotter marks the computer generated patterns onto foil
or sisal with an industrial marker pen that is mounted to
a unique reciprocating-action head. The head is driven around
the easel in a similar way to our NCRail, NCPlaz or NCPlazMaster.
All that's left to do is cut along the dotted line. There
is no measuring, no hand-marking, no double-handling and virtually
no stuff-ups.
Compatible with plasma
The NCPlotter is ideal if you already have a Design Correlations
plasma in your sheetmetal shop. The NCPlotter can interface
with the ductwork software that is at the heart of your plasma
system and also has a stand-alone PC-based controller so you
can run your plasma and NCPlotter independently.
If you are running a different plasma cutter - we will forgive
you - just as long as you use Cam-Duct, PM2000 software, or
your plasma runs G-code, the NCPlotter can still fit right
in.
How does it compare to a waterjet cutter?
The NCPlotter is a fraction of the price of a waterjet cutter
and does not have the high running costs associated with consumables.
OK, it doesn't cut the insulation for you, but marking out
is the most time consuming and costly part of the process
and is where all the errors occur. Automating this part of
your lagging process offers the biggest savings.
The benefits
The benefits of the NCPlotter are similar to that of your
NCRail or NCPlaz. It saves time and money every time you lag
a ductwork fitting by doing it faster, cheaper and better.
And, just like your plasma – it does the
work of invisible employees – the ones
you can never find.
Faster, Cheaper, Better!
Here's how the NCPlotter helps you do the job faster, cheaper
and better.
Faster
There is minimal extra input for PM2000, it generates the
insulation patterns when the operator is developing the sheetmetal
parts.
No hand measuring. This can be slow, inaccurate and waste
material.
With digital stepping motors and a smooth linear guide drive
system, the NCPlotter leaves hand-marking at the lights every
time.
Cheaper
The NCPlotter features automatic nesting, just like your
plasma, so material and time savings are significant.
Running costs are really minimal. A box of pens and 240 volts
is all you will need.
You don't need a highly skilled worker to operate the NCPlotter.
It takes the brain work out of lagging!
OK, it does everything except cuts out the material, but the
NCPlotter is a fraction of the cost of a waterjet cutter and
offers a good slice of the savings by automating the insulating
process.
Better
The NCPlotter features an innovative easel-style design and
takes up just 4sqm of floorspace for a 1.5m x 3.0m plotting
bed.
It uses the same style electronics and PC controller that
has kept your Design Correlations plasma running day in, day
out.
It requires the same simple operation as your plasma cutter.
We'll come and set up the NCPlotter, customise your insulation
settings for your software and carry out the training on-site.
Three year warranty with phone backup.
The price tag: $29,500 + GST delivered and installed anywhere
in Australia. No deposit finance is available to approved
customers.
